TAIPEI, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - Living in Taiwan is more stressful than living in mainland China according to a survey of residents in six regions and countries released Tuesday by a brand-name food company.
The survey, commissioned by Cerebos Taiwan and conducted by Taipei Medical University, polled 6,114 people in Taiwan, Hong Kong, mainland China, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia between the age of 15 and 60 in March. The margin of error was five percent.
China was found to be the most stressful place, with Taiwan ranking second. The survey also found that Taiwan people most fear getting cancer, but only 27 percent of those surveyed in Taiwan feel that they actively pursue a healthy life.
The researchers found that an ideal healthy life will require regular exercise, enough sleep and fitness. Overall, nine out of 10 people in the six region and countries defined health as being "not sick."
