TAIPEI, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - The agreement on temporary admission of goods (ATA) between Taiwan and Japan will go into effect today, Board of Foreign Trade (BOFT) officials said Tuesday.
The officials said that Taiwan and Japan began to discuss signing the agreement in 1987. After years of efforts, Taipei's Association of East Asian Relations and its Japanese counterpart, Interchange Association, finally inked the agreement in May this year.
