INDIA INITIATES ANTI-DUMPING INVESTIGATION AGAINST CHINESE DRUGS
NEW DELHI - India has initiated investigations against imports of Trimethoprim, an organic chemical used in bulk anti-bacterial drug formulations, from China. The Directorate General of Anti-dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD), under the Commerce Ministry, has initiated the investigations on the basis of a petition filed by two domestic companies, Alpha Drugs India Ltd and Inventaa Chemicals Lts. A third company, Zora Pharma, has supported the petition. The DGAD will conduct the investigation for the period April 1999 to March 2000.
