CHINA'S SHANXI PROVINCE SELLS MORE COAL IN FIRST HALF
TAIYAUN - Shanxi, China's leading coal producer, sold 125.63 million tons of coal in the first half of this year, an increase of 0.07 per cent over the same last year period.
Railways shipped 95.19 million tons of coal out of the province, up 10.84 per cent, and highways transported 23.92 million tons, up 13.65 per cent.
AUSTRALIA'S POWERCOR TO USE EXCELERGY TRADING SOFTWARE
MELBOURNE - US-based Excelergy Corporation, announced that it has signed an agreement to provide energy distributor Powercor Australia of Victoria with its retail markets software package.
With around 585,000 customers, Powercor is the largest electricity distribution company in Victoria. It will use the software package to manage its collaboration and information exchange around key shared business processes.
