From the days of the Greeks, who created her and named her Aphrodite, until the present, Venus has been depicted in art and literature. In what it calls "the first ever attempt to provide an overview of the Venus theme in mythology and art," the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerp, Belgium, is presenting an exhibition entitled "'Venus, forgotten myth': Images of a Goddess from Cranach to Cezanne," which is on view until August 19.
