BRISBANE, July 26 Asia Pulse - Rupert Murdoch's News Corp (ASX:NCP) controls the largest television empire in the United States after regulators last night approved his $A8.6 billion ($US4.36 billion) acquisition of Chris-Craft Industries.
In an added bonus, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) gave News Corp extra time to offload assets which violated US laws on the number of television stations one company can own and cross-media ownership laws.
