Abstract

The Professional Inquiry Project is one component of an undergraduate junior level teacher education course. It provides a structure for junior level preservice teachers to develop and conduct self-directed learning assignments. The process of developing a topic, articulating guiding questions, and designing and carrying out an inquiry encompasses preservice teachers in a learning experience they have rarely encountered in undergraduate college courses.
