The Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce will take along a bit of Texas when it travels to San Diego's BIO 2001, an international conference for bioscience companies that runs June 25-27.

The biotech industry tops the chamber's industry-recruiting list in its effort to help diversify the Central Texas economy.

The 16-member delegation will sponsor a booth filled with information and details designed to woo companies to Central Texas. A hospitality suite stocked with Texas beer and wine will rock with live music by Austin's Blues Crawler band.
