Few doubts surround top pick Kovalchuk.(National Hockey League draft, hockey player Ilya Kovalchuk)
Scouts say new Thrashers right winger Ilya Kovalchuk is the best prospect to come along since Eric Lindros in 1991, who in turn was the best prospect to come along since Mario Lemieux in 1984. Lemieux and Lindros clearly came with guarantees that they were the player who comes along every 10 years or so, who stands head and shoulders above the rest.
