Countrywide Credit Industries, the largest mortgage company that is not a subsidiary of a bank, has become the fifth lender to accumulate a servicing portfolio in excess of $300 billion.
Countrywide announced last month that it services loans for three million customers representing outstanding balances of $300 billion.
