Teenage girls are the fastest growing segment of the juvenile prison population, according to the American Bar Association. Delinquency cases involving girls increased 83 percent between 1988 and 1997. * A Harvard dorm hosted a sex-toy workshop in which about 30 female students were shown demonstrations by an employee of Grand Opening, a local sex shop. * A New York Post investigation found that at least one child is sexually abused by a New York City public school employee every day. About 75 percent of the victims are girls. Almost 20 percent of the offenders are homosexuals. * New York removed an advertisement for a gay and lesbian health line from Bronx bus shelters after receiving several complaints.
