TOKYO, Aug. 23 Kyodo

Share prices on the Tokyo Stock Exchange turned downward Thursday morning, hit by profit-taking after rising for the second straight day Wednesday.

The key 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 156.59 points, or 1.37%, to 11,239.84, after rising nearly 140 points during the past two days. The broader Tokyo Stock Price Index (TOPIX) of all First Section issues fell 9.46 points, or 0.81%, to 1,156.08....
