CALIFORNIA
Los Angeles - Catherine K. Lam has been promoted to chief appraiser for statewide operations of the United California Bank, joining the ranks of only a limited number of female chief appraisers at large banking institutions across the country. Ms. Lam, who is a 15-year industry veteran, will oversee the appraisal and environmental service units that include all the appraisal needs of commercial, residential, agricultural, environmental and flood services.
Los Angeles- Jenne K. Britell has been appointed to the board of directors and audit committee of Aames Financial Corp., a subprime home equity lender. In addition, Daniel C. Lieber has also been appointed to its board of directors and compensation committee.
Dr. Britell is currently also chairman and chief executive officer of two companies-Structured Venture Inc. and HomePower Inc.
Mr. Lieber is a partner with Equifin Capital Partners LLC.
CONNECTICUT
Bridgeport - People's Bank has appointed Brian F. Dreyer to executive vice president of its commercial banking division. Responsibilities include directing all commercial loan and commercial mortgage lending at the bank, including credit administration, asset-based lending, small business, correspondent banking, cash management, international commercial services and trust services.
