IBM takes monitor envy to new heights with the T220, which the company claims is the world's highest-resolution flat-panel monitor. The 22.2-inch display allows for a viewing area of two 8.5- by 11-inch pages side by side. Some 9 million pixels--200 pixels per inch--fill the viewing area.
This makes for highly detailed, or, in the company's words, "photographic quality" imaging. In a marketplace where flat-panel monitors of ever increasing quality are available at ever-decreasing prices, IBM's decision to release a $22,000 unit certainly bucks a trend.
