On September 25, 2001, Ford Racing Team Driver Ricky Rudd, will visit Cochrane Middle School at 9:30 a.m. to announce and promote a special effort to encourage reading, the Race To Read Program.

Through a collaborative venture, Ford Racing, the North Carolina Association of Educators and The South Carolina Education Association have joined together to promote reading via an interactive reading campaign called Race To Read.
