Takayoshi Oda has been appointed president and CEO of Sokkia Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. Oda, who sits on the company's board of directors, has been with the Sokkia for more than 10 years. His last position was director of international sales. Oda is also the president of Point Inc., a joint venture of Sokkia and NovAtel that specializes in GPS products. Michael Adkins, formerly executive vice president at the company, was named chief operating officer and a company director.
