Public radio to replace jazz during the day at KXJZ.

Sacramento's airwaves will have less jazz and a lot more news and information when Capital Public Radio changes the format of KXJZ this autumn. The station, which carries programming from National Public Radio in the morning and afternoons, will ditch its midday jazz.

General manager Michael Lazar says the change comes after a long barrage of requests from the station's members.
