Longtime Roseville banker Rich Seeba submitted documents to federal bank regulators today for Granite Community Bank, a new bank he wants to open in Roseville.
With timely approvals, he hopes to open the bank with at least $6 million in capital in January.
Seeba, 62, quit as president of Western Sierra National Bank earlier this year. He had joined Western Sierra when the Cameron Park-based bank's holding company bought Seeba's former bank, Roseville 1st National Bank, two years ago.
The new bank would be similar to Roseville 1st National, which mined the niche of customers who want personalized service, said Carol Garcia, Granite Community's marketing director. She worked with Seeba at Roseville 1st National.
