I looked at the bed. On the surface there was nothing wrong with it. But perhaps the trouble was on the surface after all. I looked harder. The cover was spread smoothly over the pillow. A scowl spread over my face. That was it. It was a complete disgrace. It was a scandal, an utter shame. No one had turned down my bed.
This is what happens when you have lived in a hotel for three months and then have to move back home. It's the little things that get you. The button that says `call butler' for instance.
