Yet another 3D application used by the film industry has announced support for the Mac. Version 2 of Discreet's combustion application for desktop visual effects will run on Mac OS X (as well as Windows) when it ships toward the end of this year. Combustion launched last year as an affordable, scalable alternative to Discreet's real-time nonlinear editing and special effects applications--flint, flame, inferno, smoke, and fire.
