While most students today boast bare midriffs and pierced tongues, the students on this campus flaunt the lines on their faces and a few fading tattoos from long-forgotten R&R flings.
Today more than 200 students aged 55 and older will start classes at the new Arizona State University Lifelong Learning Academy inside Del Webb's Sun City Grand near Phoenix. The unique campus is the result of a partnership between Del Webb and ASU to bring continuing education opportunities to 21st century retirees.
Residents at Sun City Grand can study topics ranging from foreign policy to philosophy at the new, higher learning institute for people age 55 and older located on a 22,000-square-foot university-like campus within the active adult community.
