Calling for more arrests of alleged war criminals in Yugoslavia, UN prosecutor Carla del Ponte asserted on September 4th that Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic agreed to cooperate with the Hague tribunal and transfer former Bosnian Serb army commander Ratko Mladic over for trial. But according to a September 5th AFP report, Djindjic denied such an arrangement was agreed upon. "Mladic was mentioned but that [conversation] ended quickly with the conclusion that we do not know where he is, that he is not our citizen and that the Serbian government is not competent in this case," Djindjic said.
