The Tate Britain Centenary Development will be complete with the opening of what is now known as Tate Britain in the old Tate Gallery building on Millbank in London. The inaugural show, entitled Collection 1500-2001, opens on November 1. It is sponsored by BP and is a broadly chronological display of British art that includes works long in storage for lack of exhibition space.
