Choice voice `Do Brian Billick's comments about Brett Favre (TSN, September 24) "... he could be like a guy with a great fastball that eventually disappears" mean Billick would take Elvis Grbac over Favre? Sounds like bulletin-board material for the Baltimore at Green Bay game October 14' --Chris Wood, Boone, N.C.
Due gratitude
Dave Kindred's column, "An unbreakable spirit" (TSN, September 24), brought a tear to my eye and was a reminder to reflect on what the Rev. Mychal Judge and many firefighters, police officers, emergency medical workers and other heroes did on September 11. This priest showed what service to others truly means. Father Mike, without any concern for his life, went to deliver the sacrament of the sick and dying to a hero.
Kindred's article caused me to reflect on what these brave men and women do each day for their fellow citizens. Many times, these ministers, police officers, firefighters and medical response personnel go about their work without a thanks from the person they just helped.

Reality check
I'll give Todd Jones a triple for his "Let kids be kids" column (TSN, September 10) in which he emphasized, "Little League is supposed to be fun." But he could have hit a grand slam if he had advocated elimination of the Little League World Series.
