CANBERRA, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - Small Business Minister Ian Macfarlane has said that once Ansett is stablised and employee entitlements have been addressed the federal Cabinet would be prepared to look at loans for the tourism industry.
The government's priority is to get Ansett planes in the air with Australian crews, followed by covering entitlements, he said.
"The most important issue, firstly, is to get the Ansett planes or equivalents up in the air and with Australian crews," Mr Macfarlane told the Nine Network.
"The second most important thing is to make sure that the employees of Ansett are covered in terms of their entitlement, because that's money that they will spend out in the community."
