PAKISTAN EXPORT FINANCE RATE CUT TO 12PCT.
KARACHI, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - The State Bank has announced a package of incentives for exporters that cuts the export finance rate from 13 to 12 per cent and increases the time limit for selling export proceeds from 120 to 180 days.
The new rate of export finance will be effective from October 1.
The increase in the time-limit means that exporters can now repatriate export proceeds on the due date for payment or within 180 days from the date of shipment - whichever is earlier - instead of existing 120 days.
The SBP also allows export groups and firms that increase their exports by 10 per cent over the previous year to retain up to 50 per cent of the additional export earnings in their foreign currency ...
