SHAHR-E KORD, Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Prov, Oct 1 Asia Pulse - The drough which hit Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari province (west Iran) this year inflicted over Rls 850 billion (US$490 million) in damage to its agriculture, livestock and fisheries sectors as well as to farmlands and various natural resources, the head of the province's agriculture department said.

"Rainfall in the province during the two previous Iranian years of 1378 and 1379 decreased 28 per cent and 34 per cent, respectively, compared to last year's rate," Sabzali Kaviani told IRNA.
