This is your typical tight end class, with a few good-looking receiver specialists, not many receiver-blocker combo players and not much depth. At this point, only Colorado's Dan Graham looks like a first-rounder.
1. Dan Graham, 6-2, 240, Colorado. Athletic player who could carry a higher grade than Todd Heap, the first tight end taken last year. Would be a good fit for the West Coast offense, with ball skills, hands and run-after-the-catch ability.
2. Terry Jones, 6-3, 269, Alabama, Catching and blocking are his strengths. Has a feel for the game. Isn't very fast, but is fluid and runs good routes. Has come back from a knee injury.
3. Chris Baker, 6-3, 261, Michigan State. Big, athletic prospect with soft hands. Doesn't have great speed, but runs well enough. Adequate blocker. Does not play with urgency.
4. Robert Royal, 6-3, 250, Louisiana State. Pretty solid, but doesn't stand out in any area. Can run routes, catch and block adequately. Has some quickness. Doesn't have great speed or athleticism.
