As the Nebraska defense takes the field, AC/DC's "Back in Black" blares over the Memorial Stadium PA. It's meant to fire up a unit affectionately known as the Blackshirts.

It's working on middle linebacker Jamie Burrow. He waves his arms. With Oklahoma approaching the line, Burrow shouts some signals and motions with his hands as he gets the defense aligned. The music fades, and the ball is snapped. Burrow explodes forward and violently collides with Sooners quarterback Nate Hybl for a fourth-quarter sack. The crowd erupts, and Burrow crosses his arms in front of his chest to form an X--a skull-and-crossbones signal that is the trademark of the Blackshirts.
