CHARLOTTE COUNTY -- The county might continue once-a-week lawn watering restrictions, despite a decision by the Southwest Florida Water Management District to ease its limits to twice a week.
The water district voted Oct. 31 to change the once-a-week watering restrictions that have been in effect since April 2000. The more relaxed rules go into effect Monday.
But counties can impose tougher water-use limits, and the Charlotte commissioners plan to consider keeping the once-a-week limit. They will discuss the matter Tuesday.
