Houston's Grijalva & Allen has been hired as the consulting firm that will help small contractors participating in the University of Texas System's new Bonding and Technical Assistance Program.
Grijalva & Allen was chosen from among six firms that responded to a request for proposals in March and April.
The firm will help small subcontractors qualify for work on a $183 million project to build the ambulatory clinical building at UT's M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. The general contractor for the design-build team is Hensel Phelps Construction Co.
