Voyan Technology, a pioneer in software-based, physical layer diagnosis solutions, announced the first field trial of its Interference Diagnosis System (IDS) for DSL networks. IDS is an operational support system which reduces costs for DSL service providers' trouble management organizations. Providing a new level of information on what is occurring at the physical layer in the network, it identifies problems before customers call and accurately diagnoses the causes of these problems.
Once a corrective action is complete, IDS can validate that the repair fixed the problem and, equally important, that it did not cause trouble for another customer. In addition to ...
