ENGLEWOOD -- More bars and restaurants will be allowed to serve alcohol on West Dearborn Street if the Sarasota County Commission continues loosening liquor laws in the business district.
The commissioners unanimously agreed Tuesday to have staff start revising county codes to allow businesses on the street to serve alcohol closer to churches and schools. The commissioners are expected to vote on the measure at a later public hearing.
