Austin's Funbus caters to kids with gymnastics academy on wheels

Soccer, T-ball, dance class and dinner. How to squeeze it all into those precious after-work hours before the kid's bedtime?

One Austin-based company fills the bill for no driving and no waiting -- with a gymnastics academy tucked inside a giant purple and white bus emblazoned with the company name, Funbus.

"We feel like rock stars when we pull up to a school. The kids are lined up along the fence shouting, 'Funbus, Funbus," says Jenny Sparks, co-owner of Funbus.

While the after-work hubbub might never settle down entirely, parents on the go can cross gymnastics off the list of things to squeeze in. Funbus brings the gym to the kids --at day care centers, preschools and parties throughout the Austin area.

Aptly named, the renovated school bus is filled with preschooler-sized gymnastics equipment such as bars, beams, trapeze, rings, monkey bars, minitrampoline, climbing wall, springboard, mini-vault and mats.
