Two men, one armed with a gun and the other with a knife, entered the First Cash Advance loan center in Washington, D.C., at around 9 a.m. on August 6th and announced a holdup. The seemingly helpless customers got on the floor as they were told. Unbeknownst to the two robbers, however, one of their would-be victims was off-duty police officer Martin Freeman, an 11-year veteran of the department and a member of its Emergency Response Team.
