Even as Mexican President Vicente Fox, and his Marxist foreign minister Jorge Castaneda, demand that the United States effectively tear down its border with Mexico, the Mexican government is working to shut down its own southern border with Guatemala, reported the August 13th Washington Times. Mexican authorities "are clamping down on the hundreds of thousands of Central Americans crossing Mexico's southern border," reported the Times. "Plan Sur, in operation since July, means increasing vigilance along the porous 600-mile jungle-covered frontier with Guatemala and Belize, joint operations with the police and military, and an anti-corruption drive to close the gaps."
