Construction crews with Harvey-Cleary Engineers & Builders are topping out the Plaza Lofts this month at the southeast corner of Guadalupe and Fifth streets.

The downtown residences will overlook Republic Square across Guadalupe when completed. Loft units range in size from about 900 square feet to 2,300 square feet, with prices beginning at just more than $300,000.

Alan Holt, vice president of The Sutton Co., markets Plaza Lofts and says almost half the units have sold. That includes 75 percent of the smallest lofts, called the Soho. He says sales have picked up since construction reached a point where potential buyers could walk through the property. …
