MELBOURNE, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Ford Australia will shut down its manufacturing operations in the Australian state of Victoria for three days next week because of poor sales and an uncertain future, the Herald Sun newspaper reported today.
About 5,000 workers at Ford plants in Geelong and Broadmeadows are to be stood down on half-pay from next Wednesday, the paper said.
