MELBOURNE, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Australian Prime Minister John Howard said some parts of the Australian economy were still strong despite the global downturn led by the United States.
"We thought America would take a big hit after September 11," Mr Howard told Melbourne radio 3AW.
"All the indications we've had are that we will slow, and that's factored in, but not slow dramatically."
