SOUTH AUSTRALIA WELCOMES ELECTRICITY INTERCONNECTOR DRAFT.
ADELAIDE, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - The South Australian government today welcomed draft approval for two new electricity interconnectors between the states of South Australia (SA), Victoria and New South Wales.
A committee of the National Electricity Market Management Company (NEMMCO) has recommended both the 250 Riverlink and the 400 megawatt SNOVIC projects now proceed.
The SNOVIC connection could be completed by the end of next year while NEMMCO's Inter Regional Planning Committee has recommended the Riverland project not be commissioned until the summer of 2004.
