(Nasdaq: IIJI) ("IIJ"), Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive solutions provider, today announced that it will add faster speed services of 8Mbps over the regional NTTs' ADSL open lines beginning December 25, 2001. The new addition will be applicable to the Company's IIJ DSL/F, Enterprise Dialup IP services, and IIJ4U Internet connectivity services. "Within the expanding broadband Internet access market, ADSL Internet connectivity with 8Mbps access is becoming the standard," said Koichi Suzuki, President and CEO of IIJ. "As a first step in assuring that IIJ is at the forefront of that change, we announced that we will launch the 8Mbps lineup for the IIJmio DSL/De service on November 5, 2001.
