Abstract
In our reconstructed instructional model we embrace the role of learner, continually examining pedagogical approaches. This alteration in our roles affects the roles that students assume as well. This article discusses our experiences with the scholarship of teaching and learning as we have begun to recreate our students' roles in the classroom. An emphasis on student decision making restructures student roles as students discover/establish the class content, create time frames/project plans, and contribute to evaluation criteria.
