Tehran, 20 July: Former South African President Nelson Mandela in a phone conversation on Saturday [20 July] with President Seyyed Mohammad Khatami called for better ties between Iran and South Africa.

Mandela expressed pleasure with the pace of reforms in Iran and hoped that the reformation drive would produce positive results in Iran.
