Cycling Support NZ's Paul Doherty wants to see cycling become the norm for travelling around town and country, writes ROY SINCLAIR.

Cycling from Whangarei to Wellington to deliver a letter to the Prime Minister, proposing a Northland cycling and walkway network, was no big deal for the recently appointed Cycling Support NZ executive director, Paul Doherty.

"I really enjoyed it. It was also an opportunity to think about cycling adventures that might be associated with the route," he says.
