Revenue: Compromise Deal, Escrow Account on the Card

States' Commissioners of Finance and the Federal Government may today, at the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting, finally work out a compromise solution to the revenue sharing formula despite last week's deadlocked meeting of the 36 state governors with President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The FAAC meeting which was supposed to hold last Thursday after an earlier adjournment few days before could not hold as planned because members were waiting for the outcome of the President's meeting with the governors over the executive amendment to the revenue formula.
THISDAY reliably gathered last night that the finance commissioners have, among themselves, agreed that today's meeting will work out a middle ground so that funds could be disbursed.
