Motor Cycle Operators, popularly known as Okada, yesterday embarked on strike action to protest the exorbitant fees charged by the Lagos State Government. as parking permit and certain conditions they considered oppressive.

The executive members of the okada riders association came out as early as 6 am to ensure that their members complied with the directive to stay at home until government would accede to theri request.

At Aguda, Coker and Ijesa areas of Surulere, the officials, armed with canes were seen flogging erring members.
