An Albuquerque night club operator has filed an appeal in state District Court to overturn a City Council decision that effectively bars it from opening.

Graham Brothers Entertainment, which recently built but hasn't opened the newest Graham Central Station nightclub in Northeast Albuquerque, filed the appeal last week.

"The City Council applied the wrong standards," said Alan Wilson, Graham Brothers' attorney. "They're not being fair to Graham Central Station."

The council decided in February that Graham Brothers couldn't open the club in a shopping plaza at Montgomery and San Mateo …
