The humble printer is moving out of the office supply aisle and into a much more prominent spot alongside one of the hottest CE products--digital cameras--as digital output received increased attention at the Photo Marketing Association's annual convention and trade show.
At the PMA show, the camera bypassed the computer--and just about everything else--to print photo-quality images.
"We've worked to really tie in the cameras and the printers," said John Lamb, senior product manager, consumer imaging group of Canon USA. "The ad campaign basically says it's easier to print a picture than take a picture."
