A case of community-acquired necrotizing pneumonia in an otherwise healthy 40-year-old man puzzled physicians--until they found a clue in his hot tub. The man had fever and chills, and he coughed up blood and rust-colored sputum, so emergency physicians initially isolated him for possible tuberculosis.
