Welcome to the Winter issue of FOCUS Journal for Respiratory Care & Sleep Medicine. As usual, there's a lot going on around here that we want to bring you up to speed on. First of all, this issue marks the 12th consecutive year of national publication of FOCUS, something we're quite proud of. The second bit of news is the fact that we have, with this Winter issue, increased our circulation to over 19,000 readers across the country, a 25% increase in readership over our last issue. With this increase, FOCUS Journal is now going to every respiratory care and sleep medicine department head in the country (in hospitals and in homecare) as well as to thousands of clinical coordinators, shift supervisors, school program directors and faculty members, every member of the APT and every sleep lab in the country. It is also going, for the first time, to over 3000 staff clinician subscribers in both Respiratory Care and Sleep Medicine. 19,000 professionals and growing! To keep your issues of FOCUS coming, or to start a new subscription, just fill out a subscription card (enclosed) and mail it in. We will immediately set you up with a free, quarterly subscription that will include a free copy of our buyer's guide when it comes out in July.

The 1362 people who came out to St. Louis loved it, (we still watch the Chuck Berry video once a month) and so the word of mouth has been tremendous. Our phone is ringing off the hook for the upcoming conference in Nashville and we know it's going to be our best conference to date. Our lectures, 42 in all, with 4 additional bonus workshops, are in seven different tracts, presented by some of the finest speakers in the nation (including Dr.'s John Marini and William Dement). Our entertainment is non-stop from ...
